Montevideo and Colonia del Sacremento, Uruguay

After 48 hours of travelling we arrived in the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo

Truth be told, we weren't completely charmed by the city. Maybe it lacked some of the life of the Brazilian cities we visited... Maybe we just went there on a quiet day... There were plenty of sights though...

Sarah's shop

Amazing market food

Tasty (free!) Uruguayan sparkling

The next day we traveled to the country's second city, Colonia del Sacremento - a sleepy, picturesque fishing town that proved the perfect tonic to Montevideo...

After a relaxing and refreshing 24 hours, it was time to get the fast boat to Argentina! Next up, Buenos Aires...

  1. Shopping looks 'interesting!' Even with a laptop, tablet & 2 PC's, getting one's paternal rellie in front of any monitor to show him all your piccies isn't always instant so, nice to catch up the other evening. Endeavors continue!
